Emblema and Jarno Ioverno, with the 322 racing team, chase the dream in Superbike

Jarno Ioverno, a young and promising racing motorbike rider for the first time in the Superbike category, chooses Emblema as the eyewear brand to best face the sporting season and participate in all the prestigious races that await him.

Jarno's career path is truly incredible, one of those stories you fall in love with and hope with all your heart that the dream will come true. A child born to ride a motorbike, a tenacious boy, capable of going fast even with a 20 year old motorbike and, at just two years old, he literally melted the engine of his first minibike...these are just some of the anecdotes that tell his story.

At 14 he became regional champion in the 600 class and then moved on to the 300 World Championship. Then, despite his father's health problems, Jarno got busy, studied and worked together, and continued to compete. Until he started with Team Racing 322 and with the help of Cristian Serri, Team Manager, he went from 300 to 1000 engine capacity, an important step.

In a few days, on 5/6/7 April Jarno will participate in his first race in the Superbike category in Misano with the number 3. He will be among the few to start directly from the paddock because by participating with a private team he is not entitled in the box, but this will give him the right energy to chase his dream: winning the world championship.

Jarno, together with the team, has studied all the elements to guarantee a very high level of performance to compete in this category. Extremely attentive to detail - consider that the racing helmet he will use is two sizes smaller than his size - he chose the Emblema eyeglasses, Atom series, to wear during the races.

For Emblema it is once again a question of guaranteeing maximum visual performance and comfort, thanks to the ultra-flat and short temples which allow maximum grip, completely disappearing inside the helmet. So a vision problem that is corrected with a solution that makes them almost invisible. The first time Jarno put them on he said: "It's like not having them on and they slip on phenomenally quickly, I've never experienced glasses like this before!".

A collaboration that will appropriately highlight the intrinsic characteristics of Emblema glasses and at the same time ensure the best sporting performance to achieve the set objectives.

Eyewear for motorcyclists of all ages

Motorcycling is a rapidly growing sport in recent years, thanks also to the various national and international races that take place around the world and which see riders compete in breathtaking races. Emblema has been alongside many Italian motorcyclists, primarily Lucchinelli in the 2000s and today it is alongside younger talents.

Emblema has always listened to the needs of riders, both those who belong to motorcycling and those who use motorbikes on long journeys around the world, i.e. in the motorbike touring category.

The connection with this athlete and his use of Emblema glasses will be one of the best ways to interact with a new audience. A synergistic and emotional relationship that doesn’t stray far from our classic target audience.

Jarno's account after the first test with the Emblema glasses

Here are Jarno's first impressions after his first flight test with the Emblema glasses, Atom style:

"The fit under the helmet is really good thanks to the thin, snug-fitting temples. The straight tips in the ear protection don’t cause any discomfort even after hours of use and when wearing a neck warmer raised above the level of the nape of the neck.

Peripheral vision is very wide, and thanks to the internal anti-reflection treatment I didn’t experience any fatigue from side light. The smoke lenses I’m using are impressive, so much so that immediately after take-off I didn’t feel like I was wearing any glasses at all. In this lighting the details on the ground are much better defined. With regard to the long shadows caused by the sunset, I didn’t notice any “black areas” on the ground. The glasses remained very stable on my face, even in situations of strong G+/- acceleration”.

Emblema Glasses: the ideal eyewear for motorcycle enthusiasts

Thanks to their wrap-around design, durable and lightweight materials, lens technology and proverbial under-helmet comfort, Emblema glasses are the ideal choice for professionals and paragliding enthusiasts. Paragliders need paragliding glasses that can provide maximum comfort under the helmet, direct wind protection and lenses that guarantee optimal vision in all light conditions.

    Custom motorcycle glasses

Of the various Emblema styles suitable for paragliding, Nico Calliari chose Atom in two versions: one in the Ruthenium colour with smoke lenses and another in the Old Iron colour, with lenses specially made for use during the sunniest days. Atom glasses with adjustable sunglass lenses have a 0.60 mm thick AISI 301 stainless steel frame and are available in several colours. The frame is ultralight, weighing just 19 grammes for size S and 23 grammes for size XL. The sunglass-only version mount ZEISS lenses with an internal anti-reflective coating. These lenses are made of nylon and therefore offer 5-6 times more impact resistance than polycarbonate lenses, and thanks to their internal anti-reflective treatment ensure absolute vision quality.

The entire Emblema collection complies with the American ANSI Z80.3-2018 general requirements for optical quality and impact resistance, as well as the Australian AS 1067-2003 and the EN 1836:2005/A1:2007 harmonised EN ISO 12312 1:2013, eye and face protection - sunglasses and similar devices.
